The Total Warranty Spend (TWS) Program Manager is part of the North America Cost Optimization Team, reporting directly to the Total Warranty Spend PMO Director. He/She will be mainly focused on supporting warranty cost management for all North America vehicle brands and manufacturing plants. As an operative, transversal role, the TWS Program Manager will collaborate closely with key stakeholders in Manufacturing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Customer Experience, Service, and other departments to identify opportunities for cost savings, ensure the effective tracking and swift resolution of action items. The primary objective is to reduce overall warranty spend while maintaining high product quality and customer satisfaction.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Track and monitor open warranty action items, ensuring all tasks are progressing according to established timelines
- Drive action items to closure by facilitating cross-functional meetings, resolving roadblocks, and ensuring timely follow-up
- Work with teams to analyze root causes of warranty issues, drive corrective actions, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives by influencing design, manufacturing, and service processes
- Serve as the key point of contact for warranty spend-related matters, ensuring effective communication with leadership and operational teams
- Coordinate and support Total Warranty Spend cross-functional workshops to identify areas of spend reduction that can ensure annual achievement of TWS reduction targets
- Support all North America Manufacturing plants as related to Total Warranty Spend initiatives.
- Escalate slow-moving initiatives to leadership to drive resolution.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in warranty management, quality management, or operational program management in the automotive industry, preferably in a cross-functional role
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives to closure across multiple teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable strategies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with stakeholders at all levels
