The Die Engineer is primarily responsible for supporting all die and hem die issues that occur in production, including but not limited to purchased commodities, surface defects, dimensional conformance, broken dies, and product ionizing events. Other duties include but are not limited to the following:
· Review CN requests for feasibility, cost and timing for current model requirements
· Work with the corporate office, steel lab, and steel suppliers on MCM (Material Conservation Management) requests
· Support and assist all Stellantis Production Way (SPW) team initiatives by actively participating as a core member on SPW teams to meet plant objectives.
· Support plant for die design and product model management for die operation requirements.
· Lead die change requirements or initiatives required to meet overall Cp/Cpk, surface, engineering change requirements and corporate targets for current model dies.
· Detail all issues in PowerPoint format, relay the necessary information to management / supervisors, and follow the change throughout the process while working with the team to meet objective results.
· Work with ASME, Product Engineering, and Suppliers so that new model draw dies attain safe formability, are designed and built to attain desired surface quality and dimensional conformance and run at designed line rates (throughput).
· Perform static and dynamic reviews for new model dies.
· Write MCNs, requests, and review allocated MCN correctness as needed for new model dies. Participate with new model launch team on all T-set events.
· Attend all PFMEA meetings for new model dies. Support advanced feasibility and cost initiatives from Product Engineering for E/C changes to current production tools.

· Support new construction/tool additions with ASME for needed product as required.
· Follow die construction at supplier through internal launch.
· Support PER studies/requests for internal assemblies and external details.
· Lead engineering change implementation on current production tools (layout/dimensional locations/graphics/templates/machining programs).
· Supply necessary information for proper component purchases as required.
Basic Qualifications:
· High school diploma, GED or equivalent
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in stamping environment
· Strong Microsoft Office skill set
· Ability to work any shift including overtime as necessary
· Basic understanding of industrial communications
· Self-directed and able to prioritize tasks based on department goals
· Experience with WCM application of tools such as Kaizens and 4M analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
· Die Journeyman Card, Bachelor’s degree
· Knowledge of Catia, Smirt, and Tebis a plus.
